Treatments
Treatments, visits and indicative prices
Prices are indicative starting points for a straightforward case, in rupees, including GST where it applies. Your dentist will give you a written estimate after examining you.
Check-ups and prevention
Routine care that keeps small problems small.
-
Dental check-up and consultation
A full examination of teeth, gums and bite, with an X-ray only if something needs a closer look.
from ₹300X-ray ₹250 per film if needed
How often should I come?
Most adults do well with a check-up every six months. If you have gum problems or many fillings, your dentist may suggest a shorter interval.
-
Scaling and polishing (cleaning)
Removal of tartar and stains above and just below the gum line with an ultrasonic scaler, followed by polishing.
from ₹1,200Deep cleaning for gum disease is quoted after examination
Will cleaning loosen my teeth?
No. Tartar can hide gaps caused by gum disease, so teeth may feel different after it is removed. Your dentist will check your gums and explain anything they find.
Is some sensitivity normal?
Mild sensitivity for a few days is common, especially if there was a lot of tartar. A sensitivity toothpaste usually helps.
Fillings and root canal
Treating decay and infection while keeping your own tooth.
-
Tooth-coloured fillings
Decay is removed and the tooth is rebuilt with composite resin matched to your tooth shade.
from ₹1,000Per tooth; larger fillings cost more
Do you use local anaesthetic?
For deeper cavities, yes. Small fillings often don't need it; your dentist will ask what you prefer.
-
Root canal treatment
Infected or inflamed pulp is cleaned out of the root canals, which are then shaped, disinfected and sealed.
from ₹4,500Front tooth; molars from ₹6,500. Crown is separate
Does a root canal hurt?
The tooth is numbed with local anaesthetic before treatment. Most people feel pressure rather than pain during the procedure, and some tenderness for a few days afterwards.
Will I need a crown?
Back teeth usually need a crown after a root canal because they become more brittle. Your dentist will tell you if yours does.
Braces and aligners
Straightening teeth and correcting the bite, for teenagers and adults.
-
Metal and ceramic braces
Fixed brackets and wires that move teeth gradually. Ceramic brackets are tooth-coloured and less visible.
from ₹35,000Metal braces; ceramic from ₹50,000. Includes retainers
Am I too old for braces?
There is no upper age limit as long as your gums and bone are healthy. Many of our braces patients are adults.
How long will it take?
It depends on how much movement is needed. You will get an estimated time and a full cost after the records appointment.
-
Clear aligners
A series of removable, transparent trays made from a 3D scan of your teeth, changed every one to two weeks.
from ₹1,20,000Depends on the number of aligners needed
Are aligners suitable for everyone?
They work well for many crowding and spacing problems, but not every bite. Dr. Meera will tell you honestly whether braces or aligners suit your case.
How many hours a day?
About 20 to 22 hours. You take them out to eat and brush.
Children's dentistry
Gentle care for milk teeth and growing mouths.
-
Fluoride application and sealants
Fluoride varnish strengthens enamel; sealants cover the deep grooves of back teeth where decay often starts.
from ₹800Fluoride; sealants ₹700 per tooth
At what age should my child first see a dentist?
Around the first birthday, or when the first teeth appear. Early visits are short and mostly about getting familiar with the clinic.
-
Treatment for milk teeth
Fillings, pulp treatment (pulpotomy) and crowns for decayed milk teeth, so children can chew comfortably until the adult tooth comes in.
from ₹1,500Pulpotomy; quoted after examination
Milk teeth fall out anyway. Why treat them?
Decayed milk teeth can cause pain and infection, and losing them too early can leave less space for the adult teeth. Treating them keeps your child comfortable and helps guide the permanent teeth.
Extractions, crowns and dentures
Removing, rebuilding and replacing teeth.
-
Tooth extraction and wisdom teeth
Removal of teeth that cannot be saved, and of wisdom teeth that are causing repeated pain or infection.
from ₹800Simple extraction; surgical wisdom tooth from ₹4,000
What should I do after an extraction?
Bite on the gauze for 30 minutes, avoid hot food and spitting for the rest of the day, and follow the written instructions we give you. Call us if bleeding continues.
-
Crowns and bridges
A cap that covers a weakened tooth, or a bridge that replaces a missing tooth by joining to the teeth on either side.
from ₹5,000Metal-ceramic crown; zirconia from ₹12,000
How long does a crown last?
With good brushing and regular check-ups, many crowns last ten years or more. Grinding and hard foods can shorten that.
-
Complete and partial dentures
Removable replacement teeth, made from impressions of your mouth and adjusted until they sit comfortably.
from ₹18,000Complete set, upper and lower
Will new dentures feel strange?
