About us
A neighbourhood clinic, run by the people who treat you
Nila opened in 2014 as a two-chair dental practice above a pharmacy on Panampilly Avenue, started by Dr. Meera T. after several years at a teaching hospital in Kochi.
As more families came to us, patients kept asking for a doctor they could see for fevers, blood pressure and diabetes reviews without going to a large hospital. In 2019 Dr. Anitha J. joined as our family physician, and the clinic moved to its present floor with four dental surgeries and a consultation room.
We are still a small team. Most patients see the same doctor every visit, the front desk knows them by name, and we would rather spend an extra ten minutes explaining a treatment than rush through it.

Hygiene
How we keep instruments and rooms clean
Infection control is the part of dentistry patients rarely see. This is what happens between one appointment and the next.
Clean, then sterilise
Used instruments go through an ultrasonic cleaner, are dried, sealed in dated pouches and sterilised in a Class B autoclave.
Opened in front of you
Your instrument pouch is opened at the chair. Needles, suction tips, gloves and cups are single use.
Surfaces wiped down
The chair, light handles and work surfaces are disinfected and covered with fresh barrier film for every patient.
Checked and recorded
Each autoclave cycle is logged with an indicator strip, and the machine is serviced and tested on schedule.
Facilities
What you will find at the clinic
Four dental surgeries
Separate rooms with their own chair and sink, so conversations stay private.
Digital X-ray (RVG) and OPG referral
Single-tooth X-rays in the clinic; full-mouth OPG scans at a partner centre two minutes away.
Physician's consultation room
For general consultations, BP and sugar checks, dressings and vaccinations for adults.
A quiet corner for children
Books and a play mat in the waiting area, and shorter, gentler first visits for young children.
Lift, ramp and accessible toilet
Step-free from the car park to the chair. Tell us if you need a wheelchair at the entrance.
Air-conditioned waiting area
Drinking water, a phone charging point and a view of the park.
Patients
What patients tell us
I had put off a root canal for a year out of fear. Dr. Arjun explained each step before he did it and checked on me throughout. Two visits, and the estimate I was given was what I paid.
Our son's first visit was mostly him sitting in the chair and counting his teeth with Dr. Fathima. He actually asked when he could go back.
I see Dr. Anitha every three months for my sugar review and get my cleaning done downstairs the same morning. Saves me a day off work.
Moved to Kochi from Pune for work. Dr. Meera spoke to me in Hindi when I got confused, and the monthly check-ins fit into my lunch hour.
